My name is Francine Hawkins-Alegeh, and I have dedicated more than 25 years to the commercial Audio Visual (AV) industry and more than 30 years to the construction industry. Throughout my career, I have designed, coordinated, and managed a wide variety of low-voltage and AV systems for corporate offices, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, healthcare facilities, government buildings, recreation centers, and commercial facilities.

Unlike many online instructors who no longer work in the field, I am an active Commercial AV and Low Voltage Designer, designing real projects using the same software, documentation standards, and workflows you'll learn throughout this course. Every lesson is based on practical, real-world experience—not just theory.

I created AVPro CAD Solutions Training to bridge the gap between learning AutoCAD and understanding how professional AV systems are actually designed. Many training programs focus only on software. My goal is to teach you the industry knowledge, design process, and best practices that professional AV designers use every day.

Throughout my career, I have served as a Senior CAD Designer, Design Engineer, Project Manager, and Low Voltage Designer, producing construction documents that contractors, project managers, programmers, consultants, and clients rely on to successfully install and commission commercial AV systems. My experience includes Audio Visual, intercom and paging systems, and complete low-voltage design documentation using industry-standard software and best practices.
