My name is Francine, and I would like to welcome you to my AV CAD Solutions Training course as well as give you an overview of what you can expect from this course. In this AV CAD Solutions Training course, you will learn the basics of the audio-visual industry and the basic tools used for becoming an AV CAD Technician or Drafter.
Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to save blocks and CAD files that I have created over the years for training and reference.
You will be utilizing YouTube videos that have been approved for use and using PowerPoint presentations and other documents to help you learn at your own pace.

You will need AutoCAD 2018 and Newer to open CAD files. Autodesk has student CAD downloads for 2 to 3 years and 30-day trial downloads for all drafting and drawing software. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required to open training files.
This training will give you the basic understanding of becoming an AV CAD Drafter if you have CAD experience but no AV experience. You will have access to learning text, quizzes, CAD files to train with and explore layers and line types, chosen YouTube videos, AV CAD Blocks, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, sample project documents, AV terms, and a glossary. I have also added links to AV certifications, Project Management Certifications, and AV magazines. There will be part 2 courses for advanced levels of AV CAD and part 3 courses for a basic understanding of AV Project Management.
